Como Jeová ordenou a Moisés, seu servo, assim Moisés ordenou a Josué. Assim Josué o fez; não deixou de fazer coisa alguma de tudo o que Jeová ordenou a Moisés. Josué 11.15 TB10.

Josué era homem fiel em tudo. Não é registrado na Bíblia nenhum pecado dele. É zeloso como servo de Moisés e, depois da morte deste, líder do povo de Israel. Mesmo nos detalhes mais difíceis (leia o capítulo 11), Josué fez tudo o que Deus tinha ordenado.

Ele sabia que os mandamentos de Moisés vieram do Deus Eterno. Levou-os muito a sério. Obedeceu-os “escrupulosamente” (versão O Livro).

Quanto mais os mandamentos de Cristo devem ser obedecidos de forma exata! Hebreus 12.25. Quanto mais devemos nos dedicar para não deixar de fora nenhuma ordem do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo!

A graça e o poder de Deus em Cristo nos capacitam para tanto. O Deus que nos criou é o mesmo que nos salva por meio de Jesus e nos dá forças pelo seu Espírito para seguir o bom exemplo de Josué.

Each one has his own reasons to give thanks. God deals with us as individuals. Many of our reasons overlap, but each day reveals specific and individual moments of attention from the Almighty.

In all he does, the Lord wants us to see and know him. He created us for that reason. He brought us into being for love.

It is probably good to have a specific day to give thanks. We ought to be reminded that it is our first task every single day of our lives.

You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees. Psalm 119.68 NLT.

8 Quero que, em todos os lugares, os homens orem. Esses homens que levantam as mãos em oração devem ser santos. Não podem ser homens dados a excessos de ira; não podem discutir com outros.

9 Também quero que as mulheres usem roupas que sejam adequadas a elas. Elas devem se vestir com respeito e pensamento correto. Não devem usar cabelos trançados extravagantes, nem ouro, nem pérolas, nem roupas caras para se embelezar. 10 Mas devem se embelezar fazendo boas obras. As mulheres que dizem adorar a Deus devem se embelezar dessa maneira.

11 A mulher deve aprender ouvindo em silêncio e estando totalmente pronta para obedecer. 12 Não permito que a mulher ensine um homem nem tenha autoridade sobre um homem. Ela deve permanecer em silêncio. 13 Pois Adão foi criado primeiro; Eva foi criada depois. 14 Além disso, Adão não foi enganado pelo diabo. Foi a mulher que foi enganada e se tornou pecadora. 15 Mas as mulheres serão salvas por cumprirem seu papel. Elas serão salvas se continuarem na fé, no amor, na santidade e no autocontrole.

Then she ended with an eighth idea: Walk to please God, 1 Thessalonians 4.1-2.

She ended by saying, “Walking like this is important for your spiritual health ─ and your very soul!”

As much as I hate social media, I confess, as if I were in an AA meeting, of being a hopper, skipper, and jumper from one to another Fediverse boat, all the way back to GNU Social and Friendika (note spelling), if not before, coming down to Mastodon, Hubzilla, Misskey and Firefish. I joined Twitter in 2008, left it out of disgust, returned recently, but ever so meekly, with revived hopes, albeit not high ones.

Before I saw the light, Google kicked everyone's legs out from under them by axing their latest social attempt and Facebook began limiting what my contacts could see of my posts. Slowly, the realization dawned. OK, so I'm not too bright to start with, but even a slow brain can have a synapse connect now and again.

Nostr was the latest shiny coin to come rolling along, even though the whole crypto-thing is over my head. But the decentralized star shone brightly, so in we went. Except my posts kept disappearing and nobody could or would tell me what was happening. Switch relays, one kind person said. As if I were to know which were bad and which were good. So I abandoned the idea for the time being. Maybe when the threshold lowers and the little people can just hop right in, there might be another flicker of hope renewed.

Yet here we are on Habla, attempting another stab at it (excuse the violent figure, but hey). What is this, an appeal, a complaint, a wishful thought? Take it for what it's worth to you. We take it as another trail at whose end the Holy Grail is probably not to be found.
