The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) confirmed on Friday afternoon (30) that it had received the decision from Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes regarding the suspension of X. The agency's president, Carlos Baigorri, stated that he had already contacted the country's main internet operators to comply with the order.
The social network was still online at 6:40 p.m., since the decision must be complied with within 24 hours. Anatel is responsible for communicating the decision to the operators. The companies will have five days to take the platform offline in the country. Therefore, the suspension is not immediate.
“As soon as we were notified, we contacted the main telecommunications operators in Brazil so that they could implement the blocking of the platform in accordance with the decision of Justice Alexandre de Moraes,” said Baigorri in an interview with GloboNews. Read more at:
